of the HIV

I finally went for the HIV test just now! Wee!~ Alhamdulillah, it was negative (as expected. Duuhh!). But the experience was not that pleasant.

My appointment was at 2pm. But seriously, I think ade appointment or takde macam same je. My appt was at 2pm, got there at 1.30. Went in for the blood test at 2.45pm. Or so I thought! Went in, had the usual family background questions with the nurse, did the height and weight, went through the pregnancy planning talk with the nurse.

While waiting for my turn, I let out my nervous-ness on the piece of paper! :p

 

 

And then, after like 10-15mins, went to see the doctor for the blood test. Just so you know, I have tricky veins (for the newbies and the inconfident ones :p). I've always had this problem with venepuncture with government hospitals (never with SDMC or oversea clinics). The doctor was "feeling" right on the vein but told me that she can't feel the vein! -___-" Aiyo.

So this 'lucky' girl got four bruises at the end of day! faints*She tried on the middle vein, but missed (after fiddling and adjusting the angles!). Then she moved to the wrist, and said to me that it's so much easier to get blood from those veins compared to anywhere else (saying it confidently of course! :p). And of course after trying, she missed again! (this happened another two times at two different spots!

So in the end, she gave up. She did at the tip of the finger (which she should have done in the first place and safe me three bruises!

My test results to pass to JAIS! :D
